Notes made by Gregory Martin concerning initial enquiries to Agnews about 'A Man Playing a Lute'. Brief correspondence between Michael Levey and Richard Kingzett of Agnews: thanking Kingzett for sending the picture to the Gallery for inspection and asking for clarification of the price and for Kingzett's signature on documentation. Condition report on the picture dated 1 May. Note on the amounts to be given by different funds and bequests towards the purchase, total cost £12,000. Letter from Philip Hendy to Geoffrey Agnew confirming that full payment for the picture is 'more or less' on its way and apologizing for delay, dated 15 July.
