On Vincent van Gogh’s birthday (1853) we invite you to have a closer, longer and more focused look at his works, from Holland to Auvers-sur-Oise.
During the 75-minute tour, discover the circle of artists that he met in Paris and the intense cross-fertilisation at play during the last decades of the 19th century. Although van Gogh’s vibrant, energetic and expressive paintings were met with incomprehension by the public, some fellow artists such as Henri de Toulouse Lautrec, Jan Toorop and others admired his works and defended them. Expert guide, Muriel Carré celebrates them on this tour too.
