Friday Lates student takeover
London Contemporary Dance School
About
Students from London Contemporary Dance School present new choreographic work created as part of their BA2 Site-Specific module.
Engaging with the National Gallery and its wider socio-political context, the students investigate relationships between body, object and space. Their performances draw on ideas of object–body dynamics and art-historical legacies, offering fresh, critical perspectives on how we move through, and are shaped by, spaces of display, heritage and cultural presence.
London Contemporary Dance School
Based at The Place, London Contemporary Dance School opened its doors to all backgrounds and nationalities who are interested in the endless possibilities of dance in 1969. Championing artistic innovation, it prepares dance artists for a portfolio career in dance and the creative industries.
