About
Discover the unique process of monotype printing in this Friday Late workshop, inspired by artworks in our collection. You'll explore colour, shape and texture to create a series of original, one-off prints.
Led by designer and artist Bethan Durie, the session introduces a range of hands-on techniques including stencilling, tracing and collage. Monoprinting allows for a blend of printmaking, painting and drawing. Unlike other forms of printmaking, each piece is entirely unique. This method is well-suited to those who enjoy working with texture, layers and surface, using various tools to apply or remove ink and explore the possibilities of mark-making.
All materials are provided and you’ll take your finished prints home at the end of the session. A handout with extra resources will be provided in advance of the session. No previous experience is necessary.
