The Simon Sainsbury Bequest is one of the most significant in the National Gallery’s history. This intimate display celebrated the arrival of three Impressionist masterpieces to the collection.

Closely related works by Monet and Gauguin (already firm favourites with visitors) were displayed alongside the new paintings.
