National Gallery experts provide a six-week introduction to European art from the 18th century, exploring works by Canaletto, Claude, Gainsborough, and others.

About the course 

Discover stories of art with the guidance of Gallery experts including curators, conservators, educators, archivists, and scientists. 

Sessions are structured around key themes such as faith, artists’ materials, society, and stories.

This course is ideal for people with some existing knowledge of art history. It consists of six modules and you can take all six or come along to individual modules:
