Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this event has been cancelled.

In 2016, the National Gallery began conservation treatment on a picture of The Toilet of Venus, long thought to be an inferior copy made by a member of Guido Reni’s studio.

In this lunchtime talk, Conservator Kristina Mandy and Associate Curator Francesca Whitlum-Cooper discuss the surprising discoveries they made during this treatment.
