Guided by practising artists, pupils will explore three paintings from the National Gallery Collection, developing their visual literacy through observation and discussion.

They will learn about the science of colour and history of the colour wheel. This is followed up by a workshop for pupils to put what they have discovered in the gallery into practice. They will mix colour to create their own paintings, using only the primary colours as a basis.

Maximum number of pupils: 60
