Caravaggio: The lute and beyond

Date and time

Friday 2 December, 6.30–7.30pm

Room 21

Jakob Lindberg

Admission free

Inspired by Beyond Caravaggio, this evening concert will take place in front of Ter Borch’s painting A Woman playing a Lute to Two Men, and will open with music played by Jakob Lindberg on a twelve-course lute, as represented in Ter Borch’s painting.

The programme will also include early 17th-century lute music from Rome, played on a lute similar to those depicted in some of Caravaggio's paintings.
