A promenade among French masterpieces
About
We invite you to a promenade among our permanent collection of French masterpieces.
This tour will occur three times throughout the course of the day. The first two tours will be hosted in English. The last tour of the day will be hosted entirely in French and is suitable for those with an intermediate and above level of the language.
Be awed by the splendour and formality of the masters of the Grand Siècle or Great Century, before delving into the more relaxed atmosphere of the Rococo period. Understanding the Académie, France's art authority, will help you explore the great artistic revolutions of the 19th century, when Paris became the birthplace of modern art.
This tour will explore the Gallery using headsets and be hosted in French and English. Please see specific tour times according to language below:
English-speaking tour: 10.30am and 1pm
French-speaking tour: 4.30pm
