About

It is a well-known phrase to say that “every picture tells a story”. It is particularly apt, however, for today’s talk by Gallery Educator Nick Pace, who will focus on those paintings from the collection that have survived extraordinary odds and in strangely brutal circumstances.

These stories serve as reminders of the incredibly important work performed by the National Gallery’s Conservation Department.

After the talk, Nick will be happy to answer your questions in a live Q&A.
