About

Join us for a lunchtime recital by singer-songwriter Gareth Esson, who will be performing a soulful acoustic set of original music, which explores the powerful connection between art and music.

With the performance situated in Room 34, Gareth’s autobiographical and genre-fusing approach to composition and songwriting evokes similar sensibilities of freedom, innovation and personal flair which fuelled the works of Gainsborough and Turner. Exploring the universal themes of love, loss, hope and healing, Gareth will take you on a captivating musical journey, inspired by key pieces of the National Gallery Collection and his synesthetic creative process.
