Student takeover
About
This Friday Late, the National Gallery invites students to present performance-based projects developed in response to our collection, architecture, audiences and public space.
After two years maintaining distance between ourselves, art and each other, the need for connections, or to feel 'touched' by encounters has become more apparent.
Join us for a live staging of interdisciplinary work, devised by Central Saint Martins Fine Art BA programme, which will unfold across our galleries, correlating to the contexts of art history and the museum as a space for contemporary art.
Audiences will be encouraged to think about the function of a collection, which is able to pose and frame conversations about objects, images, and ideas, as well the National Gallery as a place to contemplate, relate and enjoy art.
Join us in Room 18 and the adjoining galleries throughout the evening.
