Enter the caves of Manod and journey through the Gallery’s collection with our new, experimental AR experience, accessible by QR code on your mobile device.
Face questions along your voyage and and transform into your mythical self in this experience, inspired by the secret wartime movement of National Gallery paintings to Manod slate mine during the Second World War.
This digital R&D project was created in collaboration with Frân Wen and built by developer Klaire Tanner. It builds on 'Carreg Ateb: Vision or Dream?', an ambitious multi-arts project led by young people from North Wales, working with Mostyn Gallery and artist Jeremy Deller.
