Colonel Hugh Duncan Baillie (Bristol collector, 1777-1866) and George
William Baller, Esq. (Bristol auctioneer). There are detailed notes on 3
prominent collecting families: the Daubeny family (noted as successful
Bristol-based merchants), the Harford family (prominent bankers at Blaise
Castle) and the Miles family (urban gentry). In addition, there is
information concerning William Hinds Prescod, Esq (for his posthumous
sale catalogue see NGA28/2/21).
