Press Cuttings, Gainsborough's Duchess
A volume of press cuttings re the recovery in 1901 of Gainsborough's "Duchess of Devonshire" (which had been stolen from Agnew's Gallery in 1876). Includes a watercolour comic strip of the events concerning Gainsborough's 'Duchess of Devonshire', entitled "Ye Taoo Tayl of the Tryals of Morland in Quest of the 'Duchess'."
