Copy record of a personal letter from [William Lockett Agnew] to W.A. Rix, regarding the intervention of Agnew and his wife in the marriage of Rix. Agnew demands that Rix support his estranged wife or run the risk of ruining his own livelihood as a headmaster. Rix in a previous letter has apparently threatened to sue Agnew for libel.

[W. Arthur Rix MA was at the time of the letter the Headmaster of a boys' preparatory school based at Seafield Park , Hampshire, a property purchased in 1907 by William Lockett Agnew and remortgaged several times. Rix was declared bankrupt in 1919, after which the property was leased out by Agnew to Ernest William Webb who moved his school from Wykeham Hall to Seafield Park.]
