Copy of ‘Turner at Farnley’ by Edith Mary Fawkes
Typescript copy of Edith Mary Fawkes’ account of Turner’s relationship with her family in the early 19th century. Walter Fawkes, Edith’s grandfather, was a great friend and patron of Turner’s. The text dates from around the late 1890s and includes first-hand accounts of Turner’s visits as well as extracts from the personal letters and diary entries of members of the family at the time.
