Metropolitan Police report to Locke Eastlake

Details of how Frances Welch, assistant housemaid at the National Gallery, had a fit and collapsed, landing with part of her head in the grate of a fireplace. Her burns were treated in Charing Cross hospital, where she would have been kept for a longer period had there been a bed available for her.
