Photograph of a watercolour by Henry Edward Tidmarsh wash and bodycolour. 100 x 128mm. Guildhall Library W2/TRA 98272. Exhibited 'Palaces of Art: Art Galleries in Britain 1790-1990' Dulwich and National Gallery of Scotland 1991-92, C8. This is probably Room XIV (32) hung with 16th century Italian pictures, looking through to Room XIII (33) hung with 15th century Italian paintings. The following pictures are identifiable: 'Ansidei Madonna' by Raphael (NG1171), Venetian School 'The Virgin and Child with Saints' (NG750), Catena's 'A Warrior adoring the Infant Christ and the Virgin' (NG234); and Studio of Sandro Botticelli 'The Virgin and Child with Saint John and an Angel' (NG275).
