Description
The painting depicts the three daughters of Sir William Montgomery, Elizabeth, Anne and Barbara. It was commissioned by Luke Gardner in 1773 who was engaged to Elizabeth at the time. It then passed to his son, Charles John Gardner who was created Earl of Blessington in 1816.
