Correspondence between Marion C. Parker-Smith and R. Tudor, clerical officer at the Gallery, concerning Parker's request for information about her picture. Correspondence with H.C Garrod, trust officer at Lloyds Bank, concerning arrangements for an inspection of the picture after confusion on the subject. The picture is eventually bequeathed to the Gallery. Correspondence with Lloyds Bank follows, with arrangements for delivery of the picture so it can be examined by the Trustees, together with insurance arrangements and discussion of whether the picture can be cleaned by the Gallery before it is viewed by the Trustees. Letter to the manager of Lloyds confirming that the Trustees decided to keep the picture at a meeting on 7 December 1967, letter dated 11 December 1967. The decision was delayed because of the relining and cleaning of the picture. It is agreed that the picture will be loaned to Scunthorpe Gallery. For probate purposes the National Gallery suggests a valuation of between £750 and £1000 for the picture.
