Letter to Oscar Johnson of Leggatt Brothers from Martin Davies stating that the Trustees are happy to purchase 'The Adoration of the Shepherds' for £40,000. Letter in reply to Davies stating that the Duke of Norfolk has agreed to the Trustee's terms of sale (original and typed copy). Further correspondence between Davies and Johnson on acquisition, including arrangements to view the picture and arrangements for the Trustees to pay £20,000 immediately and a further £21,250 in April 1963. Press release detailing the acquisition.
