Supporters’ House first birthday
Supporters’ House first birthday
On 2 June 2025, the National Gallery opened Supporters’ House. A space for socialising, dining and relaxing, it fills the beautifully restored former curatorial offices. A year on, to celebrate our first birthday, we are opening Supporters’ House to all of our Exhibition and House Members.
Supporters’ House, became the third part of the National Gallery’s Bicentenary capital project, promising to be a space for cultural life, the best in food and drink and a home away from home for those who want to spend more quality time in proximity to great art. It also became the first time the National Gallery had a dedicated space for members and patrons.
Since its opening, we have hosted and shared many special moments with our guests. From listening to our curators share their personal connections to their craft over a cocktail with Nancy Durrant. Curated tastings and dinners such as Battle of the Bubbles and Pommery and Millet dining experience. Listening to moments of creativity and inspiration from the likes of Martin Gayford, Russell Tovey, Susan Owens, Jonathan Conlin, Gemma Rolls-Bentley and Franny Moyle. We’ve also had a lot of fun with a regular comedy night, literary salons and afternoon recitals.
Most of all, our House team have loved getting to know you and welcoming you to the Bar, Lounge and Dining Room. And we think the sentiment is mutual.
Below is a programme of events that we think you’ll love and bring you even closer to your new home away from home. Come to one, come to them all.
Mark your calendars. Clear your diaries. Come and celebrate with us.
