Join National Gallery Archivist Alan Crookham to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Gallery’s Wilkins Building.
On this guided tour inside and outside the building, find out why the National Gallery moved to its present site in 1838, and discover the links between the Gallery’s façade, the Prince Regent, and the statues in Trafalgar Square.
Visiting as a group?
Public guided tours are for individuals and small groups of up to four people only. If you are visiting as part of a larger group please see our pages on organising a group visit.
Tours of the collection take place every Friday 7–8pm.
Guided tours also take place every day 11.30am – 12.30pm and 2.30–3.30pm.
