Changing Paris, Changing Art

Investigating the paintings, graphic art and photographs of 19th-century Paris, we will discover some of the exciting ways in which the transformations in art and society are linked.

Focusing on depictions of the public and private spaces of Paris, we will consider both the diversity of artists’ responses to modern life and the legacy of their work.
