Outdoor workshops

No outdoor workshops are currently programmed

Workshops are practical sessions that use making, writing or moving as ways of exploring paintings in the National Gallery.

All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary: just come and have a go.

Some art forms can be messy. So wear old clothes for painting, printmaking and sculpture. Unless there is persistent heavy rain, please assume that you will be working outside.

Please consider bringing a small rug or folding stool and refreshments (tea, coffee and lunch will be provided during the morning sessions held in the Gallery, but not outside during the afternoon sessions).

You may also need sun cream, wet weather protection and clothes that can adapt to changing temperatures.
