About the trail

This trail looks at six pictures from the National Gallery's collection of Spanish masterpieces, renowned as one of the finest in the world outside Spain.  

Who is the trail for?

It is aimed at adults, though families with children can enjoy discovering the paintings together.

The National Gallery and Spanish painting

Beginning with just one Spanish painting at the Gallery's foundation in 1824, the Gallery now contains masterpieces from Spain's greatest painters, including MurilloZurbarán, Velázquez and Goya.
