How your gift helps
Great paintings capture our imaginations, engage us intellectually and absorb us emotionally. The National Gallery Collection belongs to the nation and access is free for everyone. We are committed to making sure that people from all backgrounds can discover the paintings housed here, both today and in the future.
Every year over six million people visit the National Gallery to see the permanent collection, enjoy a temporary exhibition or participate in a lecture, tour or education programme. Your support, however large or small, will make a real difference, enabling the National Gallery to continue its inspiring programme of activities and to bring great paintings into as many people’s lives as possible.
By becoming a supporter of the National Gallery you help the Gallery:
- Acquire great pictures for the collection
- Look after the paintings in our care
- Maintain free admission and access for all
