Limited Gallery access: 4, 5, 6, and 12 August

Due to strike action there will be limited public access to some areas of the National Gallery on 4, 5, 6, and 12 August.

Please find below information about public access for Tuesday 4 August:

  • Soundscapes is open
  • Entrances: Sainsbury Wing is open (entry and exit), Getty is open (exit only). Portico and Orange Street entrances are closed.
  • Cloakrooms: Sainsbury Wing cloakroom is open. Portico cloakrooms are closed
  • Rooms open: Central Hall, Annenberg Court (Take One Picture), Room 1 (Sansovino Frames), 9–12, 15, 18, 29, 43 (Monet: The Water Garden at Giverny), 44–45, 51, 57–65, and 66 (Art in Dialogue: Duccio | Caro)
  • All cafés, restaurants, and shops are open
  • Education events: A large number of Education events have been cancelled or rescheduled; please check individual event pages for cancellation alerts.
