Discovering the Collection

ArtStart
ArtStart, the Gallery's interactive multimedia system is available in the Espresso bar and multimedia room on Level 0 in the East Wing. Additional terminals are also available in the Sainsbury Wing ArtStart room, the Sainsbury Wing foyer and on the link bridge.

 

Trails for Families with Children
Children's Trails are available from the Information Desks and can be collected when you visit.

Themed Audio Guides
Audio guides can be used to follow themed tours, each looking at about 20 paintings. The tours include a returnable map to find your way around the Gallery, and can be collected from the Audio Guide desks.

 

Gallery Audio Guide
A portable audio guide with random-access commentaries on over 1,000 paintings in the collection. Highlights tour available in eight languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. The equipment has numbered push buttons and can be used with a hearing aid. Some form of security or deposit is requested. Payment is by voluntary contribution.
