3. Why does the public have to pay to see National Gallery paintings when they are included in temporary charging exhibitions? Including National Gallery pictures in loan exhibitions allows them to be seen in a completely different context, placed next to works which have been brought together for a particular exhibition. We feel that it is justified to charge for admission to cover the costs mentioned in answer 1 above. |
