University of York: Curatorial Assistant for the UK Historic Houses pilot project
The National Gallery is delighted to announce a new short-term post in partnership with the University of York
The Curatorial Assistant post for the UK Historic Houses pilot project (job ref:940) offers a nine month part-time (or six month full-time) job at the National Gallery, with periods at the University of York, to assist with the development of a major grant application for a collaborative research project on the visual culture of the British country house.
The post-holder will be expected to undertake a focused pilot study of British country house inventories and to help convene roundtable discussions with relevant specialists to identify strategic priorities for the future study of the British country house.
