Art and Religion: Catalogue Entries
Exciting discoveries about the history, attribution, original location, function and appearance of the National Gallery’s religious paintings are published in the scholarly catalogues.
These discoveries are often the result of collaboration between the curatorial, scientific and conservation departments who are continuously increasing knowledge about paintings in the collection, based on the most up to date scholarship and latest scientific methods.
The Gallery also makes selected entries from new catalogues available online, free of charge.
