Jules-Louis Dupré: 'Willows, with a Man Fishing'

Explore the paintings

Dupré made several visits to England where he particularly admired the work of John Crome and John Constable. Of all the artists associated with the Barbizon school of landscape painters, Dupré was perhaps the most influenced by English landscape art, as this small and intimate picture shows.
