A Drawbridge in a Dutch Town

The town has not been identified but it is not neccessarily meant to be a particular place, as Maris did not greatly value topographical accuracy. The lines of the bridge appear to have been painted wet in wet without underdrawing, although it is probable the artist used some straight object to create them.
