Tobit and Anna

The story of Tobit and Anna is related in the apocryphal Book of Tobit in the Old Testament. Tobit was a faithful follower of God who became blind. His blindness was cured by ointment from the gall of a fish which was brought to him by his son Tobias.

The aged Tobit is usually depicted with his patient wife Anna, awaiting the return of their son.
