A Saint with a Fortress and a Banner

This work is a panel of an altarpiece, of which 'A Youthful Saint Reading' is also a part. The saint with the red cross banner was formerly considered to be Saint George, but is very probably Terentius, Patron of Pesaro.

This picture is probably an early work by Gerolamo da Santacroce, and the style is derived from the late works of Giovanni Bellini.
