Thirteen panels illustrating the life of Christ and comparable in size and style are known. They mainly depict incidents from the Life and Passion of Christ. It has been suggested that these works, probably with some others which are now lost, came from a single ensemble - this may have been an elaborate altarpiece involving much sculpture such as were popular in Lombardy. They are now generally agreed to be early works by the artist.
