From the sound artist:
I wanted to highlight Redon’s style of painting: his blurry representation of Ophelia, the water and the background conjured for me long drawn-out drone sounds while the flowers, which seem detached from the rest of the painting, suggested short hits of sound. Using a drawing tablet, an audio sampler and some synthesis, I created a way in which I could ‘draw’ the sounds as Redon had painted them.
