From the film-maker:

There is no strong color, unusual composition or dramatic subject matter in the painting. It aroused thoughts of a delicate moment in daily life and led me on a journey of imagination. The most moving thing exists in the most simple thing. So I started my story from a very normal moment in an ordinary life.

The style of my film is also inspired by the painting - static, simple and introvert. I tried to limit camera movement and hold down the actors’ performance. The painting suggests there is power in silence. I wanted to describe those moments when our hearts are comforted or suffering. I didn’t want to interrupt those moments, I wanted to keep them still like the cup of water, the rose and the Silver Plate in the painting.
