What first hit me about this painting was the solitude of the man standing by the window. The colours and composition supporting his isolation came through as a strong feeling which I related to my relationship with my brother.
The smell inside that lofty room, dusty and dense, radiated as memories full of deeply melancholic sensations. SUPERKID is strongly inspired by this powerful painting in the form of a lonely figure who remembers, in a simple way, how to let go of bitter memories, imposing the blissful ones on top.
