From the film-maker:
My work focuses on character animation and storytelling. I see both as essential factors needed to make a successful animation. I work from the basics (such as walk cycles) which are regarded as fundamental by many animators, to more advanced acting and lip synching work.
This film is about the mythic figure Hercules on his journeys to redeem himself, when he comes across a wrestling competition. The story then introduces Antaeus (the King of Libya) and the two giants slugging it out in an epic brawl. This animation was my most challenging and satisfying to date, and I hope to make many more in the near future.
A piece inspired by Hercules and Antaeus, after Stefano Maderno, 19th century?
