From the film-maker:

What caught my eye was the contrast of the old warship and the new steam tug against the sunset. Moreover, the following sentences inspired me with an idea. 'The ghostly Temeraire glides solemnly to its death, towed by a funeral tug belching fire and soot, as the sun sets in glory and a pale new moon rises.' My idea was to create a spiritual human-like Temeraire dancing for her last berth. As she dances, there are some images of her glorious days flashing in the background. The structure of the story is divided into three parts. In the first part, she starts to dance slowly, accompanied by slow music. The second part is the climax: the dance and music are tense, with the battle scenes in the background. The third part slows everything down and brings the story to an end.
