From the film-maker:
The inspiration to use this painting of Gainsborough's two daughters comes from the relationship between the sisters. One sister is older and playing a protective role and at first glance she is the dominant sister. However, I feel it is actually the younger one who is in control, because she manages to pull her sister along while chasing the butterfly. I wanted to explore the dynamics of a sibling relationship in my animation.

A piece inspired by Thomas Gainsborough, The Painter's Daughters chasing a Butterfly, probably about 1756
