The picture is based on a tragic Greek myth involving a hunter, who unexpectedly catches the goddess Diana naked as she bathes in the woods. In revenge for this he is transformed into a stag.

This animation reinterprets this tale into a dark African fable. Relocating the story to the deep jungle of East Africa puts an interesting twist on the original narrative, placing it in the context of a threatening and unforgiving world where bad things happen to children who do not listen to their parents.

Using a combination of Adobe Flash and After Effects to compose textures and character design inspired from the art world of Africa, this story will take you on a journey of emotions, leaving you perplexed and curious, but hopefully thoroughly entertained.
