The National Gallery is collaborating with Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design on 'Transcriptions: Animation’, an innovative new project which involves postgraduate animation students producing short films inspired by the Gallery’s collection.

From the film-maker:
I was inspired by the two figures in the painting, Venus and Cupid, and what they represent - beauty and love. Taking different but related elements, vanity and concealment, my animation creates a humorous interplay between the two characters.
