Talking Paintings

Free themed one-hour gallery talks for UK school students aged 3 to 18. (There is a charge for non UK schools and colleges).

Talks are tailor-made to your requirements, with links to many areas of the curriculum at all Key Stages.

Joint faculty visits can be arranged for secondary schools, eg. History/Art, RE/Art, PSHE/Art.

Group size can range from 10 students to 100 per visit.

Cloakrooms and sandwich rooms are available for booked parties only.

    Landscape, Still Life, Portraits, Narrative Paintings.

    Illusions, Reflections, Food and Drink.

You are welcome to use the Gallery to do your own teaching, but please bear in mind:

  • You must book in advance.
    Fax details of your visit to 020 7747 2423.
  • The Gallery is always very crowded with National Gallery booked groups who take precedence in front of paintings.
  • Paintings can go off display at short notice.
