This exhibition showed work produced by primary schools in Bristol and Newcastle inspired by paintings from their local collections.

The National Gallery has been working alongside Bristol's Museums, Galleries & Archives and the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne, to facilitate projects which focus on sharing resources across schools and museums.

Teachers were encouraged to use the National Gallery's highly successful Take One Picture approach to teaching and learning, which uses one painting as a stimulus for delivering the National Curriculum in a cross-curricular way.

Funded by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) National/Regional Museums Partnership Education Programme 2004-6.
