From the Film Maker...

I very much liked the blue of the woman´s dress so I put my main character (male) in blue pyjamas and a blue shirt.

As I saw the painting, I was immediately drawn to it. At first it was the colours but as I continued looking at the young lovers, I started thinking about love in general. What happens when lovers grow old? What happens when one of the lovers dies? That was the moment when my idea for the script came. A story about an old man who has lost his wife/lover and decides he does not want to go on living without her.
