The Serial Engager
by Ruheen Iyer
Contains scenes of mild violence.
From the Film Maker...
The 'Serial Engager' is inspired by the history behind Van Gogh's chair.
Do objects only have a particular meaning or character for the person that owned it? Or can they mean something to other people too?
The painting itself has no hint of the darkness that was to follow in Van Gogh's life. It seemed to have a lot of secret fears hidden under a veneer of wellbeing and contentment which I have tried to reflect in my film.
